I've been taking Emergen-C, but I don't like the fact that it has coloring and fructose.
Then I noticed that it contains "aspartic acid."
Immediately I thought, uh-oh, that sounds like aspartame which is very detrimental to Lyme patients.
I looked up some info on aspartic acid on Wikipedia and it described it as an amino acid and did not make any references to aspartame. Then I saw that another source mentioned that aspartame is a combination of aspartic acid and phenylalinine.
Anyone know if aspartic acid by itself (without the phenylalinine) is bad for Lyme patients? My guess is that it's bad.
Better yet, can anyone recommend a better multi-mineral supplement that can be taken after a FIR sauna session to replace what was lost? I took pedialyte a few times, don't know if that stuff is any good.

In the book Detoxify or Die there is a lot of talk about saunas and how to replenish minerals lost. It's a great book. I have heard Dr. H mention it in talks I've listened to.

That's right BHealthy!! I totally forgot about coconut water. It is supposed to be the all natural, healthy "Gatorade" and it tastes really good too. It's all over Whole Foods right now - you can't miss it.

Check the ingredients. One company moved to concentrate, but several others still are pure Coconut Water. We have our delivered from Amazon every month, which is cheapest route for us.

If you take coconut water every other day though, I wonder if it will cause a food allergy to coconut for those with leaky guts.
I eat half of a raw coconut and make foods with coconut oil every 5 days for the brain-restoration benefits.
I'd hate to develop an allergy to coconut since it contains such valuable nutrients for Lyme patients.

there is nothing like good old water, but there are alectrolyte strips that you give to children that disolve in your mouth. I use them when someone has a stomach bug. you can buy them right at the pharmacy. I would get some doctors advice though before you take them often as you can get too many I believe.
