My lyme symptoms are pretty much gone. I had a bart flare in September, and a course of Levaquin cleared that up. I'm on Zith and Bactrim now since I can't tolerate Levaquin. I was on Mepron, but I really don't know if I can tolerate, but I know we need to be treating babs.
I know people treat just the co-infections in beginning, but do they do it later in treatment? I'm wondering if we could try stopping Doxy... which would mean I could remove the PICC!!!! Doc appt is next Friday.
Also, Lyme symptoms resolved several months ago I believe.

I think it depends on your symptoms and health overall.
But yes you can treat with oral if you fill better now.
For people with present infections acute or chronic in the brain heart ,liver, kidney splean boneand other important organs.
The best treatment is IV then IM and so on.And is the rule of thumb if you do god on a protocol of treatment stay on it till you reach the plato.
