I had gotten myself in the mind set that I was going to have my dosage of Rocephin increased to 2gms. I was really NOT looking forward to it because of how sick I had become on 1gm. To make it even harder to accept, I had 5 great days after the peak of my sickness passed on 1gm (which was Thanksgiving of course)
Then I recieved a call from my doctor at 6pm last night telling me that my blood test for my liver had come in and that I had gone from 16 to 116. I find it odd that it went up EXACTLY 100 pts and almost feel like having them re-test me today instead of next Monday because I'm leary of a Type-O. But regaurdless I'm really upset about it. I want this treatment. I'm nervous that my lyme will start multiplying and that the effectivness is going to be far less if I wait a week.
In the mean time is there anything I can take to clean out my liver and get myself back on tract. I REALLY want to start up again ASAP. I would hate to think I got this PICC line etc. for nothing.., or even worse that I went threw one of the worst months of my life health wise, only to not be able to finish my treatment.

When mine went high on abx's I upped my dosage of milk thistle. (some people take 1000mg/day during "acute infection")
What helps -
Milk Thistle Turmeric Dandelion Artichoke NAC ALA
NuMedica makes a great product called Liver Defend. It has Milk Thistle + NAC + ALA + Selenium
Not only does it help the liver, but it increase glutathione levels.
Avoid really fatty foods. try to stick to oils for now.
Obviously no alcohol.

I'm gong to the health food store tomorrow to load up. TY both for your advice. I would of responded sooner but I slept for almost 24hrs. I didnt think that stopping the medication would of knocked me out , but for some reason it did.
