Very interesting. Learn something new everyday. My first thought that it was babesia causing this, but reading about it, drugs can do it too. But there are treatments. One used some time ago was the combination of vitamin c and bicarb. Another is methylene blue. Are you being treated for this?

since retreating for babs, i started getting strange vascular symptoms.. saw a cardiologist today and my ekg x ray were good...
getting an echo and ultrasound of my abdominal aorta....
i was going over some of my biochem stuff from the semester and when Type 2 methemoglobinemia being caused from sulfa drugs, anti-malarials and metronidazle popped up in my face, i went "hey wait a second..... i'm on all of those and have all of this stuff"
yea. treatment is methylene blue... i'm getting basic bloodwork *CBC, CMP) but am curious now to my blood gas. wish i had a pulse oximeter too...
i know it will just get worse if i dont do anything.... but there's a huge stubborn side of me that says 'eh. it's not a big deal'..

So you diagnosed yourself with this, then? Might want to get it confirmed before you start treating it!
