my 6 year old son was bit in May 2008 and immediatley started having neurological symptoms, staring, trouble thinking, hands and feet tingling. after 2 years of trying to convince his doctor it was lyme, i changed doctors and he tested positive for 3 bands. he has been on antibiotics since the end of August 2010..
when he first started treatment it was difficult to have a conversation with him, memory problems, talking but not making sense and many other problems.
he got started on Amoxicillian and Zithromax for the first month and i noticed a couple days toward the end where he seemed to be thinking more clearly.
He was taken off Zith and stayed on Amoxicillian for the next 1 1/2 months, with a very little improvement so i called in the beginning of November and asked to get him put back on Zithromax and he seems to be doing pretty well compared to before treatment.
my son has now been complaining about his feet tingling. what would cause his feet to always tingle? and also i was wondering what is the normal treatment for lyme? He has been prescribed antibiotics. I was told to give him a probiotic and thats been about it. we've been to a couple follow up visits but i feel like i should be doing more for him.....
any advise would be greatly appreciated!

I have just started treatment also, but think abx, probiotics, and liver(Alpha Lipoic/Milk Thistle) and kidney(Cytozyme) support would be a good foundation. Supplements- Magnesium, Vitamin B's, Vit C. Then Detox methods.
Tingling feet... Possibly a vitamin B12 or B6? I believe the abx can deplete us of essential vitamins and minerals. Blood sugar levels can cause the tingling also.
Possibly a Lyme symptom?
