So...met with my LLMD last week. I brought along my wife's IGENEX test results. Negative Bart IgM / IgG and Bart FISH.

Negative lyme IgM and IgG, but had IND on bands 39 and 83/93 for both.

She has mild symptoms like sore feet, stiff wrists / fingers, and some mild to moderate fatigue.

My LLMD said she can try Samento / Banderol (I assume from Nutramedix.)

What are others thoughts of these herbs?

--------------------
Bite date ?
2/10 symptoms began
5/10 dx'd, after 3 months numerous test and doctors

IgM Igenex +/CDC +
+ 23/25, 30, 31, 34, 41, 83/93

Currently on:

Currently at around 95% +/- most days.

I have ordered both Banderol and Samento but have not started them yet. There is a good study done by Eva Sapi, PhD, Univ. of New Haven, that showed this combo VERY effective in killing ALL forms of borrelia in vitro, much more effective than doxy which only kills spirochete form.

--------------------
Sick since at least age 6, now 67. Decades of misdiagnosis. Numerous arthritic, neuro, psych, vision, cardiac symptoms. Been treating for 7 years, incl 8 mos on IV. Bart was missed so now treating that.

I relapsed hard on them this summer with brain fog, and Martin Seivers, a Swiss researcher you may be able to find cited on Lymenet Europe, said that Samento in fact promoted Bb growth. You should google this.

I just have to ask... what convinces you that she has Lyme?

I guess the real question is how severe are her symptoms? If you are convinced she has Lyme/cos, I wouldn't mess around with treatment and go with something tried and true like the Burrascano protocol. If her symptoms are not severe, perhaps just monitoring her symptoms and testing every so often would be a better idea.

I would suggest reading this: http://lymemd.blogspot.com/2009/12/doctor-i-want-lyme-disease-test.html

BANDEROL SAMENTO, aricle in townsendletter.com july 2010
great slides showing impressive results.
I was on for several months with strong herx (means high kill)
my brain got much better. stopped those & antibx, started some other herbs. after a month head pain really bad again. my md thinks bartonella the culprit, starting on enula and samento. and other antibx, you have to switch things up.

sore feet, i'm told, is symptom of bart. should be covered with those two you have listed be sure to only go up 1 drop a day or herx can be bad bad bad.
anti bx should also be a part of the regime, in my opinion.
your md is forward thinking to use the products. Ask about detox if she hasn't already given that. Nutrimedix is a good company. look at website

I'd be interesting in hearing feedback as well.

Yesterday my LLMD recommended that I take Banderol, Samento and Lumbrokinase daily along with every other day dose of Clindamycin.

My husband's only symptom he ever had was sore feet. Last time I did a round of Humaworm, he did one, too, and the sore feet went away. He hasn't had them since.

Sore feet (and stiff wrists) can be sluggish lymph. She also might try skin brushing.
