How long do most people take this drug?

Is it supposed to be taken with fat? One post on curezone says it should be taken with 40 grams of fat, but the pharmacy instruction sheet says nothing about that.

I am still passing parasites after 2 months on this.

New LLMD increased dosage to 400mg twice daily for 2 weeks on, 1 week off and repeat.

Is it safe to stay on Albenza or should I switch to herbal treatments?

Jennie,

I think I read that Dr. K. keeps his patients on allopathic antiparasitics for 3-5 months. Make sure your doctor is checking your liver enzymes. He probably is and if they're okay you will be fine.

It sounds like it's working great. Maybe GiGi will come along and fill us in on the length of time Dr. K. keeps his patients on them.

I think it varies as to how long a person has to be on albenza (albendazole). An acute parasite infection can usually be cleared within a few days or few weeks. But if you have chronic parasites infection that has become disseminated throughout your body then treatment an take many months.

And personally, I have been taking Albendazole (with fat) for several weeks now and I tolerated it very well but when I added Ivermectin to the protocol..... WOW!!!!! Herxes from hell!!!!! Or at least that's what I think/hope it is.

It seems as though some people have to take multiple anti-parasite medications (sometimes in combination) to fully eradicate parasites from their body. And as long as liver enzymes are ok and no other abnormalities show up on your blood work such as a low White Blood Cell count then you should be able to safely take albendazole for extended periods of time.

And yes, albenza is absorbed much better when taken with a fatty meal. You can read more about that on the links down bellow.

Yes, take with fatty food; otherwise absorption will be reduced. Should do 3 weeks on and 1 week off. Something to do with it metabolizing on itself and it reduces levels in blood. This is directly from the pdf of manufacturer.

Should be safe to stay on for prolonged periods. good luck.

The week off Albenza, is it ok to take Parastroy or other antiparasitic herbs?

Jennie,

For what it is worth, according to the curezone Albendazole protocol you should stop taking herbal remedies, flushes, cleanses, laxatives, colonics, MMS, nutrasilver, RIFE, zappers, & other OTC parasite products during the week off from taking Albenza because they can cause parasites to scatter throughout the body carrying enteric pathogens with them.

I have no idea if that is true or not though.

I just took Albenza with coconut oil and I am now herxing, which must confirm that it works better taken with fat. Unless this is a yeast herx. Maybe I'll try olive oil tomorrow to compare reactions.

As for the last week I have been taking Albenza I didn't notice anything.
