DS, 11, is in his second month of Doxy treatment. I think we are whipping the RMSF and Bartonella, but now he is not wanting to eat--maybe just two or three bites per meal. He is also positive for Epstein Barr, Parvovirus, and Babesia. We will start Babesia treatment in Feb. Has anyone else seen this? He is also VERY tired and wants to lay around most of the time. Any helpful hints or advice would be appreciated!

My daughter has gone through this.

She needs to take meds to sleep at night anyway, so we switched it to Remeron. Remeron has a known side effect of weight gain and increased appetite.

She did start eating more right away when we put her on that. She gained 10 - 15 lbs. which was a plus for her.

I think there are other meds that increase appetite so you might check with your LLMD or another doctor.
