Okay, I don't know quite how to describe this, but I've been having stomach issues for the past week.
A few times over the weekend I thought I was going to vomit; I kind of figured out, or at least think, a lot of the problem is acid reflux related. I just restarted Prilosec, as per my gastro.
Now again tonight my stomach started feeling weird. I'm not nauseated, but it just feels like my stomach is kind of heaving, like I'm trying to puke.
Does anyone else get anything similar to this? Anything else I can do to stop it?

There was a thread on this recently and I can't remember what it was so I will tell you what I learned.
Low stomach acid and high stomach acid have very similar symptoms... here is a link to a test that will tell you whether your stomach acid is high or low: http://www.drdebe.com/stomach-acid-assessment.html
I found out my son has no stomach acid (never burped) when he did the test.
I bought HCL from vitacost. He takes 1-2 with meals and this is giving him some relief from that pukey feeling. The HCL is a temporary solution to a bigger problem.
If the body is zinc deficient, it will not produce stomach acid. This (among other things) helped to confirm the HPU diagnosis for my son.

You might also want to read some of the threads I posted recently on iodine deficiency. That can also be a cause of low stomach acid.

Bea- I found one of those posts on iodine earlier tonight! I really appreciate your posts!
First thing in the morning I am headed to the drug store for a bottle of iodine.
Thank you very much.
