Had a rough NOV and DEC. Dr C has started me back on Zithro, which I had a short improvment on in Oct, and now I am to start Mepron Mon. I started low dose Zithro one tab a day 250mg work up to 2 a day and he wants me to low dose Mepron and work up to the 1tsp 2x day. What do I need to know about this combo. Can you take them at the same time? I know I need to take Milk thisle and take mepron with a fatty food. I don't want to herx. I had a bad herx that lasted two months from Flagel.

You're supposed to take the zith and mepron together.
Simply put, Mepron allows the zith to penetrate and kill Babesia organisms.
I would def. take them at the same time.
I'll ad that you should take these with a meal. Not only does Mepron bind to fat and get absorbed more readily that way, Zithro can really agitate your stomach if taken without food.

I really meant, can you take them at the same time of day or have to space them out like your supplements?

thank you so much for the incouraging words and dosing advice. Ive been a little fearful about Mepron and its side effects, but I am hopeful again that this could be the ONE!
