I have had Flagyl added to my regime for about two months now. Quarter pill a day twice a day for two months now.
I started trying to raise my dose and got intestinal problems so called the doc backed down and was doing great on it, going out with friends, having energy, feeling good, for about a month.
Last night I had a weird reaction it wasnt around my flagyl but wondering if they could be linked.
I had got home from work and laid in bed waiting for dinner. For some reason my mom got dinner ready really late, I started feeling really sick to my stomach along with chills and feeling very cold and out of it. I took my temp but it was after I had drink some water and the lowest it was was 96.4 but I couldnt really get an accurate reading.
I took it about an hour later when I started feeling good again and it was around 97.7 this is were my temp usually is.
Could this be a herx? Have I just reached my end on flagyl?
I didhave some brown rice grits with peanut butter mixed in them that morning and I felt sick to my stomach all day. Still looking for help on the diet. I know keebler gave me a really good write up around a month or so ago but I lost it.
Happy New Year! A

I was told by a good LLMD that flagyl should not be taken for more than 2 months due to side effects. He suggested switching to Tindamax and then Plaquenil if necessary.

It's my understanding that it's best to pulse flagyl. Two weeks on, two weeks off (and during the off weeks take Grapefruit seed Extract). And as Shahbah suggested, take your meds with food.
My LLMD told me to take one bite of my meal and then take meds. I found I have to eat more than that or I feel sick to my stomach.
Hope you feel better soon!

One more thought, maybe your blood sugar had dropped low because you needed something to eat and dinner was late. I noticed if I don't eat every three hours (very small meals) then I suffer from fatigue and weakness.
Try snacking on raw carrots or some Almonds in between meals to keep your blood sugar more stable. I'm not a medical person, just sharing my personal experience with you.
Take care and Happy New Year!

Also I'm doubting it has to do with babs I looked at the symptoms and almost all my babs symptoms went away during my first Lyme treatment
