I just want to check to see if babesia can cause irritation and nervousness. Or is this another infection coming out?
I am on zither and mepron. I was treating with bactrim ds and zither going after bart.

EVERY time I treat Babesia, my anxiety goes through the roof, BP goes up. Nervousness, jaw clenching. It's horrible.

I hope that is what it is. I have a very short fuse - just lose it over little things like not being able to untie something. I usually hold it together but I am seething inside.
Otherwise things are getting better. It is helping.

Before the holidays I had a backslide with Babesia symptoms. I had a nervous stomach feeling and I wasn't nervous about anything. I also was also slightly sweating as if nervous but cold at the same time.
Its definitely a babs symptom. I hope it improves for you soon.

I always connected irritation and anger with bartonella. My nerves can be very raw. Things that might upset me a little become intolerable. I have had episodes of rage, which is very bartlike.
But presently I am not having the bart symptoms I had before such as painful shins, cramping, muscle twitches, feeling like I have to urinate a lot. . . . Just this irritability.
I feel the Mepron is slowly working on the babesia. I have been on it since the end of November. My fatigue is lifting and I am not nearly as down.
My son and husband are installing a floor. When they started a week ago, I could only watch because I was breathless doing anything. Then I could help but I had a lot of soreness, maybe from being out of shape. I am more motivated.
The lack of energy and motivation contributes to the depression as I felt like I was in a cage.
I just don't want bartonella to get out of control again . It happens to me all the time. The mental stuff is much worse than the physical for me.

I just checked with my LLMD about this since I am experiencing increased anxiety, ie irritation and nervousness, on zith and Mepron. LLMD says meds don't do that, theory is herxing does if you have Babesia.
Anything that controls my anxiety down close to zero will change my life back to what it was for the past 35 years. We are working on that.

I am glad to know it is the babesia and not bart or the medication (which I have to take for 6 months at least).
I am having a lot of ups and downs with this - the one step forward, two steps back kind of thing.
