Has anyone used Byron White supplements? My LLMD had me on A-Bart for Bartenela. I was up to the max dose of 20 drops 3x/day. He then added L-Bart for Lyme. I was getting up there in dose, don't quite remember right now. He did a CD 57 and it came back at 130 which he said was good. I was feeling good, not much pain anymore which was my biggest symptom. Most of the others had all but gone.

This was all back in July of 2010. I had been seeing him since April of 2010. So, I assumed I was better. And, yes, I've read where you need to keep with treatment for so many months after symptoms are gone. Thing is I can't afford to go to my LLMD anymore. I don't have insureance and my credit cards are maxed.

Starting in the begining of Dec. i started having little pains hear and there. Mostly in my feet where it originated. Then my hands and lower back. Just like before. And my energy is going. I was doing so good.

So, my question is, after all that, how long are the supplements good for? They are a liquid. I still have them and thought maybe I should start taking them again and see what happens. I also have amoxicillin and probenecid I could take if those would be safer.

My LLMD is constantly going to confrences to learn of new treatments and said the new thing was supplements instead of antibiotics. And he knows how much i hate taking pills. [Smile]

I'm scared to call him because he will want me to come in but I cannot afford it. Maybe us the supplements until they are gone and then the amoxicillin and see where I am after that? I have 4 refils left on the amoxy until April.

Sorry this is so long. Lots on my mind tonight. Thanks for you help. [Smile]

I would start them again & yes you must take for a long time (even more-so with herbs than abx's)

Some even stay on a maintenance dose after getting better.

I'm starting A-Bart in 4 days : )

I've started A-Bart and my daughter is on A-Bab..we also feel that the herbal route is a better way to go for us right now. I wasn't aware that the dose was meant to be taken 3 times a day.. I don't think that was what I read but I could be wrong.

It's encouraging to hear that you did well on these formulas. If they worked for you before, I'm sure they will work again since these herbs do not build a resistance.

I would stay on them as long as necessary since they do no harm and actually help the immune system.

2x's per day

Some LLND's push to 25 and/or 30 to see if they get a reaction.

If not they will sometimes settle at 20 and stay there for awhile.

thanks for clarifying that, canefan.. I do believe you are talking about the challenge dose(25-30 drops). I think my daughter will have to try that as she is at 20 drops now and still not herxing.

cj, I'm pretty sure the drops are good for at least a year, if there is no expiry date on the box it would be a safe assumption.

I was told by a health foods representative that most supplements are good for at least a year after expiry. I think that would be a personal judgement call though..

To those of you having success with this regiment:

Are you taking them in combination with abx?

My llmd has suggested Byron white on more than one occasion. Right now I'm doing alright on omnicef, but it's something to keep in mind for the future.

i have seen BW and taken his herbals. if you have seen him then you know he tests you much like other docs do with various forms of biofeedback ART to see what you need and how much.

he usually starts the drops off at low dose and builds up depending on your needs etc.

they are potent quality medicine. i was on even higher dose then what you have said here.

this is a marathon disease. you may need a higher dose for a long time ....you may need a few drops of a maintenance dose or somewhere in between.

i found him to be a very kind and understanding person. i think you could call him and ask him how long the shelf life is. when i was seeing him he preferred email which might be less difficult.

it sucks that most of us can't afford to get the kind of treatment we deserve. i am sure he gets that....he sure heard if from me and was again very understanding.

so my advice is see if he will advise you on the phone or eamil ... and if he thinks you need it maybe get another couple of bottles of tincture if you can afford them. they are cheaper now then they use to be.

i feel its ok to say to our docs and practioners. please tell me what the best treatments you want for me...and here is what my means are, so now what can i do safely to treat within those means.

i have decided to do more then i can afford now with the reality that i will lose my rental apartment within a year. so i can treat in a way that might get me back to work sooner then latter.

i don't have anyone who counts on me so being broke is "easier", its still scary and goes against my values of not living beyond my means.

i am so sorry you have to be thinking about this like so many of us.

i hope you will get back to feeling better. its great that you made progress. i think its important for your mind and spirit to have a memory of "improvement".
take care and best wishes

3030, not sure we are having success yet, but no abx included at this time. Although they can be taken with abx.
