Ok so i just took a break from abx for 3 weeks and noticed my stomach got way less bloatd but the tightness was still there, the wierd nauesus feeling and problem feeling that i have in a relationship with food.

I am taking some stuff for candida (oregeno oil) which was working and i was improving but im back on the abx and its WAY worse again. Feel so bloated and dont feel right.

I feel full all the time, i eat to try and settle my stomach which is wierd, but i eat for energy and to try and get nutrionts. I shouldnt be worried but i feel like i cant get back to my wieght i was a year and half ago before i started abx. Its horrible.
I cant seem to get my stomach feel bettter. and i feel gross.

I have tried so many things. [Frown]

Oregano oil can be very caustic to some stomachs and cause nausea or burning - or a feeling of churning. If you can't "settle your stomach" you might want to change to something a bit less hot such as Olive Leaf Extract or Coptis. Both can also cause a herx reaction but (at least in my experience) they are much more gentle on the lining of the stomach.

You might try a diet to "reduce wind" or "move stagnant chi" - An herbal combination Coptis/Evodia tablets by Seven Forests is very good at moving stagnancy of the stomach.

A gluten-free, dairy-free diet is also helpful to reduce bloating. Liver support also helps.

Olive Leaf Extract - 96 abstracts

You can cross search each of these with "candida" etc.

[And, if you want, I post a bunch of OLE links and excerpts - but the book "Olive Leaf Extract" by Morton Walker is the best place to begin.]

I know that exercise can be difficult but if you can take a gentle walk after a meal that might help with digestion.

Or maybe a bit of gentle dancing to a song or two in your living room. Even deep breathing and some gentle yoga stretching throughout the day can help relieve kinks in the digestive tract and give food some space to move about and move on out.

From: library.thinkquest.org/2824/Digestive.html

"The human digestive tract is so long that if it were stretched vertically to its capacity , it would measure an astounding 30 feet in length . . . ."

What probiotic are you taking? You may need some Diflucan and/or Nystatin to kill out the yeast. It can be very hard to get rid of.

Also consider Candex or lactoferrin.

Candida diet and elimination:
http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/021412.html

http://www.wholeapproach.com/diet/

http://www.candida-albicans-cure.com/candida-albicans-symptoms.html

DIET, DIET, DIET is the key. Then, be sure to follow the 5 step plan outlined below. It was developed by my naturopath. It works.

"Successful control and elminiation of a Candida Albicans overgrowth requires a multifaceted program as described below. Failure to follow ALL the steps simultaneously will result in slow progress and will lengthen healing time significantly. The program should be tailored to the individual and must balance the need to eliminate the Candida and deprive it of its food source while insuring proper nutrition for the individual."

Five Steps to Candida Elimination:

1. You must starve it into submission by eliminating its food source.

2. You must kill it with anti-fungal herbs and supplements. [e.g....garlic, onion, caprylic acid, Pau D'Arco capsules or tea, clove, grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, tea tree oil, Echinacea, Goldenseal, black walnut, MSM, barberry root, uva ursi, neem leaf, biotin]

3. You must reestablish the proper balance and quantity of probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract. [...multi-strain lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidus capsules with FOS should be taken between meals to maximize repopulation of the digestive tract by beneficial bacteria.]

4. You must reestablish proper levels of all B vitamins (yeast free) and utilize other immune enhancing supplements to boost immune system function. [e.g ... B complex vitamins (yeast free), biotin, beta 1-3 glucan, colostrum, maitake mushroom, vitamins A, C, E, zinc and selenium]

5. You must cleanse and heal the digestive tract to promote proper elimination of toxins and Candida and assimilation of nutrients. [e.g...chlorophyll, MSM, omega 3 fatty acids found in flax seed and salmon oils, GLA found in borage, evening primrose and black currant oils. Pantothenic acid, digestive enzymes between meals]

I would consider candida since it's worse on abx. More probiotics? Coconut oil?

I had extremely sudden, severe stomach problems about a year+ ago and went throuh many tests- colonoscopy, endoscopy, barium CT, stool testing for parasitic ova, etc. Even at the time, I was very diligent about not eating much sugar, utilizing various types of probiotics, etc.

After months of nearly undiagnosed pain, I ended up trying a gluten-free diet and multi digestive enzymes (I like Michael Murray's product personally). That helped a lot, surprised the heck out of me. I still had some trouble, but did some Alinia then a two or three-week dose of Diflucan, which got me back to 90%.

I'm still on the gluten-free diet and am loving it. I still have some trouble handling certain spices, and have to go on occasional Diflucan, but oh my gosh, so much better.

I don't know if any of this is related to your issue, but perhaps "food for thought". [Wink]

Were you taking Doxycycline? I found that, even when taking it with a meal, it make my stomach feel super full and raw. Others have described nausea. Apparently there can be long-term affects of Doxy on the stomach if it doesn't react well with you. So, in addition to yeast issues, it could be that Doxy has made an impact.

I am taking a break, doxy the second time around by itself was tearing me up too badly making my stomach rage.

I've pretty much been nauseated for the last two months whether on abx or off them. I can't figure it out and nothing provides full time relief. It's one of life's greatest mysteries to me!

Consider parasites as a problem and look into treating them. Parasites/worms can be a co-infection of Lyme and need to be treated.

Do a search on here under parasites for lots of info.

It's time for Diflucan. Do not let this continue.
