Never Herxed or noticed a difference. I did it for a month.
If you have babs, it DOES work. My take a while though.

Usually you take Mepron with zithro. I guess any macrolide would work but zithro has been studied and is known to be effective. Babs can become resistant to Mepron when you do not take it with zithro (or perhaps biaxin but again it is not studied and known for sure).
You can get the intercellular form of lyme with the macrolide but you need a cyst buster. You could pulse flagyl or tindamax for that.
Nothing in your combo is effective against bart. You might add Bactrim Ds which works well with the macrolide.
Yes, you can herx on Mepron. I sure did/am. It is not like lyme where I had herxes once a month or directly after starting a new drug. It is ongoing with worsening of symtpoms. Gradually it lifts.
I have been on Mepron nearly 7 weeks. My dizziness, fatigue and depression went through the floor. Then I slowly improved. I have good days now and feel more like myself.
