I have to get on an airplane in about a week. I am having my IV meds mailed to my destination, so that shouldn't pose a problem, but I'm wondering if the picc line will set anything off in security? Do I even need to tell the security people I have a picc line?
The nurse at my LLMD said I should try not to fly, but I have to... It's to see my LLMD
Any other tips/ warnings?
Thank you!! V

I believe pic lines are 100% plastic/silicon/whatever. They have no metal in them so you should be fine. Travel safe...

My LLMD also told me that I could not fly with a picc line...not sure why though...

I flew with the PICC, and actually took all of my meds with me as carry on. I got copies of all of my prescriptions, paperwork regarding the PICC, all of that, and security didn't even ask for it. Had no problem flying with any of it, and it was an international flight. You should be fine!
