Over the past week or so I get moments where a spot on my back (probably about the size of a small dessert plate) starts to tingle. It feels as if the hairs on my back (gross I know) are standing up on end and irritated.
Is this a herx / reaction to something?
Anyone else have this. I've had tingling hands / feet, but never back.

I had this on my back, exactly where I pulled the tick off, for about one and a half years.
It tingled every day, not 24/7, but many times during each day.
It has completely resolved with treatment.

I have something similar but mine feels more like numbness. It's on the left side and comes and goes. It's mostly gone now.

Can be anything, bacteria, parasites,... I use Lugols iodine and it is better then but comes back when you stop. Start with one drop to check if you tolerate it.

I have a tingly, buzzy spot but it's much smaller (size of a quarter) and it comes and goes.

I get that too. Mine feels like a tens unit on my upper back.
Comes and goes and is worse when I am sitting at my computer so maybe neck strain realted?

I had this and it was diagnosed as shingles, a viral infection from the chicken pox virus. Some people get it very painfully and others just feel the tingle like you do with a cold sore. It goes away with time..sometimes a very long time.
FYI for everyone. I never knew there was a shingles vaccine? It is such a painful thing that it is worth the shot.

It's not advisable to a get any vaccines now that you are fighting Lyme. It's just a greater burden on your immune system having to make new antibodies. Plus, I'd be careful with any vaccine, unless it's absolutely necessary, the flu vaccine included.
Many people with lyme are misdiagnosed with shingles. Sometimes it's just the strange rashes and hives we get from having lyme and other times it's the stress of the illness that reactivates the chicken pox viruses in the form of shingles.
If it's very minor tingling it's probably not shingles and best to leave it alone unless it's full blown shingles.

bcb, it's probably irritated nerves causing the tingling. Hopefully, it will subside.
