All I am on is low dose Doxy (100 mg BID) and Banderol.
My AST is slightly elevated at 43 and my ALT is elevated at 105.
I had a strong feeling my liver had to be stressed with all the toxins that come out of my body (It's such an insane amount of toxins I can't even describe it). I got a prescription for Omnicef, but I never took it since I had a strong feeling my liver enzymes or kidneys were going to be messed up.
Well, my intuition was right. Just not sure what I am supposed to do next since the doctor is out of the office.
Do I stop the Doxy? I really doubt this is what is causing elevated enzymes, but of course it adds stress to the liver.
What liver support will help the liver? It doesn't need any stimulation (it's got enough of that), just protection. All I have been doing is Milk Thistle.

When my liver enzymes were up, I took lots of hot baths in order to force myself to sweat, to take the load off my liver.

I would drink Dandelion Root tea.. for added liver support. The rule of thumb is if your enzymes are elevated up to twice normal you need to cut the abx dose in half. If your enzymes are more than double than it's best to stop.

Interesting, I just took a hot bath, but I don't sweat too much these days.
I could try a sauna again, but I am heat intolerant. For whatever reason, heat sets of all sorts of physical symptoms and even panic attacks.
I used to not be able to tolerate heat or cold, but now I tolerate cold just fine. But why is heat so bad? I haven't figured that out.
I lifted my methylation block a couple months ago, and the toxins just don't stop coming out. I've been waiting, but it seems endless.
I am a strange case, but the toxins are very evident. Dark yellow colored urine = feel good. Clear urine = feel horrible. It's as simple as that. But the dark stuff has been very concentrated for quite a while. Not as bad as when the block was first lifted, but still not normal. The concentration (specific gravity) is going down over time.
On top of this, I have a bladder infection it seems, and my head is absolutely killing me. So much pressure, it feels like it's going to explode. The head pain causes anxiety directly.
Frustrated.

Headaches and nausea are both symptoms of elevated enzymes..

I have had this headache before with normal enzymes. It's what my head does.
And I would describe it more as internal head pain (encephalopathy?) than a headache. I guess the words can be synonymous, but to me pain is well beyond an ache.
Klonopin, Ativan, Vicodin, Neurontin nothing really touches the pain or anxiety.
Of course, I took the liver taxing drugs earlier today before I got my labs faxed to me.
I try to complain less, and if I were to be writing these posts with my subconscious rather than pretending to be calm, I'd be cursing like a sailor.

I had similar elevated ALT/AST numbers (high 40's and high 90's)for months after several months of antibiotic protocols. I even went off all abx for 30 days and they were STILL elevated at that level. Was checked for everything under the sun liver related and all came back fine.
MY LLMD put me on an herbal protocol (Byron White) and also prescribed the Pekana Drainage Kit. After about 1 month on that, my liver enzymes were normal. Not sure if that was it, or if my system just needed months away from antibiotics.
