Greetings! I am new here. Sure would love support. No groups around that meet for Lyme Disease. It's nice they have people all over the world that can relate to the way I feel. I was just diagnosed. Thur. the Dr. will explain the lab results. I have had wacked lab results since Dec. 09 and lately have taking yet another road to experiencing other nasty symptoms. It's been a challenge to say the least. This is a difficult medical condition for many doctors to correctly diagnose. I wish the very best for everyone out there that suffers also.

The thing I love the most (horse work) may be the very thing that's killing me. I may have gotten the tick from them. I believe I'm beyond the early stages. I was also diagnosed with neuropathy recently. Been in a lot of pain.

Hi - breaking this up for easier reading for many here. Sorry to read you're suffering, but you've come to the right place - everyone understands here.

Also, all states have discussion groups. Yours would be at http://www.health.groups.yahoo.com/group/OhioLyme

Wanted to mention that I gathered some info about tick protection and horses. Cedar oil products are supposed to be good (www.cedarcidestore.com) and also Ecoblend (www.homs.com). I have no financial affiliations.

Thanks! I'm trying to learn to navigate my way through all this.

I don't want to stop the volunteer work with the horses; it helps my depression among other illnesses.

God Bless

Moving to Medical Questions for your "introduction"... all other support-type posts go in General Support.

Hi HorseHelper!

Share with us your lab results when they come in, and don't hesitate to ask any questions about treatment options and suggestions.

If you have some questions about treatment protocols, symptoms or anything related, use the search option which will search all the boards for your keywords.

I've been here since December 2009 and have been in treatment almost a full year. I wish you well, and look forward to hearing about your recovery.

Wolf

Wolf, Sasha, Haley,
Hello. Thanks for support.

Positive for ANA, IGA, WBC, RBC not normal, other cells were not in normal range. I have IBS, neuropathy, and several other symptoms. Constant pain; stabbing, point, achy, low body temp, sometimes ice cold feet.....

Sometimes Drs. get upset when you act as if you know more than them. I need to educate myself. When I worked in the medical field some time back, I realized the importance of keeping all my lab and test results, which I have. Family Dr.thought I had leukemia and we kept testing (5 times) my blood. The low WBC's can be a part of lyme I understand.

Thursday I get more detailed information about the three tick bourne diseases my Inf.Disease Dr. tested for.

Hi HorseHelper-

Welcome to this board.

I am a fellow horse person. The "dq" in my name stands for "dressage queen" [Smile]

Our passion for horses and working with them certainly puts us at high risk for tick borne diseases.

The multiple ticks I have removed from my body were all from working with my horses out in fields.

This board has lots of info to help. Make sure you read Dr. B's guidelines very well.

Good luck on your journey, its not an easy one.

mbdq,
Who's Dr. B? I'm so new at this posting comments that I even have trouble getting on.

I never saw a tick on me, so I'm sure I'm beyond the beginning stage.

Dr. B is Dr. Burrascano. Here are his guidelines for treating lyme...

http://www.lymenet.org/BurrGuide200810.pdf

Most of our doctors go by these guidelines.

Blessings on your journey.

Helprin56,

Here it is lam, I can't sleep. I'm a positive person, but I feel like I'm not going to live as long as I'd like.

The heart is fluttering and making me anxious. I was so sick today.

I ran around to help a friend and wasn't really up to it. I was weak and aching all over, sinuses bothering me also.

Thx. for much for the site. I really had a bad day today.

[Wink] Helprin56,

Good Information on the Dr. I also have Herpes II and it's no wonder I constantly was breaking out (but then again I hadn't been taking my meds for it.

I had an average of 5 break outs in 6 days. This is very excessive. I couldn't figure it out. Now the article shows me that probably Lyme was the factor!!!!!! Makes sense!!!

I have had a constant running nose and just not myself since 2009, so we'll see what the Dr. says tomorrow. I've been untreated long time, kinda sad.

Will it be to late to treat? Please tell me not everyone gets a spinal tap.

Thx.
