My doc suggested I consider taking Artemisinin but I don't know much about it.

Does anyone have a sense of what a typical dose of artemsisin is for chronic lyme treatment?

Are there any drug interactions to be aware of? I'm currently on tindamax and biaxin.

Any food interactions to be aware of? What about alcohol?

I've heard pulsing 3 days on 4 days off is best does that sound right?

Any thoughts and suggestions on where to buy would be helpful.

The three of us take Zhang's artemesia. We worked up to 3 capsules a day. We take 10 days a month. There is a difference between artemsisin and artemesia. Sorry I can't help more.

My doc had me buy Allergy Research Group artimesinin. You can get it at The Vitamin Shoppe and other places.

I was to take it twice per day on an empty stomach.

I took it in conjunction with babesia meds. I don't think it makes sense to take it if you are not treating babesiosis. Art is not strong enough to cure babs on its own.

I took it 3 days in a row every week.

My doc was strict on the no alcohol rule. I suggest you totally avoid alcohol if you want to get rid of lyme disease and its coinfections. I don't know of any interactions with foods or meds.

The art really enhanced my treatment of babs. The improvement was noticeable the first day I took it.
