I've thought about this too. But I don't think that Gentamicin alone is enough to cure those of us with multiple stealth infections.
There are many different strains of these infections that each respond to different antibiotics. Symptoms overlap especially with the bartonellas, mycoplasmas, and cpn.
We just have to keep trying different combos of meds until we eventually get ALL of these infections under control. Only then will we really feel better.
One big obstacle is getting doctors to prescribe high dose combos of multiple meds. Many are only comfortable with traditional meds at conservative doses for short periods of time.

HUH?? I've never heard of anyone on here taking it for bart.
I do know it's very damaging to the ears. You can have permanent damage from this med very quickly. That is probably why it is not used much for bartonella.

Gentamicin it is a good one for Bart.Ototoxicity is a problem with it but if you take it in the normal for not more the one month no problem with it .The problem is that we take high doses of everything and in long run months-years,and also other antibiotics on the mix to .

I agree Sammy. But it still makes me very curious. I will keep hammering this with combos but if I am not getting anywhere I am going to try push for this in the doctors office in the summer maybe.
