I had this experience on Doxy (starting at the initial dose of 100 mg 2X/day and even after 2 weeks at the recommended dose of 200 mg 2X/day). It happens within 2 hours of taking the dose and lasts for a couple of hours. I feel sort of out of it and actually much calmer than I felt with all the Lyme anxiety. This has abated slightly over the past couple of weeks -- I can think through the phase now, but it has not gone away. I think this may be due to the anti-inflammatory properties of the Doxy in addition to the antibacterial properties, but really not sure.

Does doxy cause anxiety? My anxiety is horrible and I was to start doxy today, well I did but opened the capsule and only took a small amount .. Been about 2 hrs ago.. I am to take 200 mg a day.. Then more when and if I can. Its a shame the medicine to help causes you to feel so bad.

Will keep you posted..

I am exhausted after a month and symptoms have increased I have worked up to 300-400 mg a day (Depending how I am feeling that day). I was on this before and I felt like death for first 3 months but after that I began feeling really good. Like so many say on hear it is a slow go to win this battle. Stick with it!

make sure you take it with food. Without food it threw me for a loop for about 4-5 hours.

Sounds like you may have bart to me. The abx kick in fast with bart. Doxy had me like a maniac. Mino is much easier on the brain in my experience.
