After being on only oral omincef for over 2 months, I made a call to the LLMD and he added zithromax to my cocktail.
Has anyone had this combo before and did it help? I am not sure what to expect with the two together. Why am I afraid of taking the first pill? I had a bad reaction when I started omnicef for a few days. Hoping it doesnt happen again?

I took Omincef and Zith for 6 months and I really think the combo helped a lot. I started with the omincef and added zith a week later. Definitely had a herx 6 days after starting each of them. They almost immediately cleared up a lot of my nervous system issues. I did have some stomach issues with omnicef and later switched from zith to biaxin because zith was making my ears ring!

lpass, I was on omnicef for 2 months and just got the zithro. I am on my third dose and feel horrible. My words are coming out stuttering that never did and I feel like fainting besides nauseous. Is this what happened to you too?
Each pill I take of the zithro it is gettin worse. I am a bit scared. My ears are always ringing even before the zithro.
I see you take diflucan. I was given it for a yeast infection a few weeks ago. Do you stay on it all the time to prevent yeast?
I think we may see the same LLMD Dr R in NY? Since he is talking the shots next week also. Seems to be same protocol.

I didn't start the diflucan right away. Added it for a month after 5 months on omnicef and zith and just added it again as a preventative measure. You are probably herxing from the zith but just run it by your doc to make sure it's not a reaction to the abx. I also sent you a pm with more details!!

I started on omnicef and added zith two weeks later and then added rifampin a month after that followed by pulsing of artemsia. This combination has been successful for me so far but the first 3 months I struggled with constant nausea! It was awful. That has passed now but I still have to make sure my stomach doesn't get too empty or I feel gross. I still have to add tindamax in there sometime but honestly, can't stomach that thought yet.

I did them for 10 months while pregnant. Later, only about 1/3 of my symptoms remained. Yes, good combo for long term lyme treatment.

Ipass thank for you message. I feel much better now from your message.
Ang. I am horriblly sick to my stomach. Someone suggested nexium to me? Have you ever taken it to coat your stomach?
I take them with something solid like crackers or oatmeal but it is still too much. I will wait on the difulcan since it upsets my stomach worse than all.
