Does anyone have any good suggestions for dry skin and detox baths?

Can anything else be put in the tub to help moisturize without ruining the detox effects?

I use epson salts wtih camomile or lavender from the regular drugstore or you can also use baking soda. I also have dry skin. I soak for a bit in the bath and then wash with Dove Nutrium and my skin feels great.

I know what you mean about the dryness. It was making me nuts.

My LLNP told me to be sure and rinse off after the epsom salt baths. It is important to get the toxins off and the epsoms are drying.

After I rinse I use Eucerin lotion. My skin is still dry but the humidity has been very low here lately. Everything is dry and a lot of electric static!

I've been saving a few tips for people who have dry skin problems from the detox baths.

Some people put a cup of sesame seed oil in the tub along with the epsom salt and hydrogen peroxide. Gotta be careful though due to the risk of slipping from the oil. Some people add essential oils to their baths, like lavender, or whatever you like. You can do a google search on the different essential oils and see which one might be best for you.

Here's a quote I saved from another website:

*Tip* If you have dry skin, you may want to add glycerin as well as another essential oil of your choice to the water to help keep your skin from being too dry, but make sure is 100% natural oil not a brand name product filled with chemicals.

"Another tip for dry skin is to use Aloe gel after the detox bath. As I mentioned above make sure you use 100% pure aloe, not a lotion that has aloe and host of other chemicals and artificial color and scents."

What I do is put coconut oil on my skin after the detox bath and let is soak for few moments. After that I take a shower using coconut soap (pure soap with not additives or preservatives, etc).

Coconut oil is amazing and moisturizes my skin better than anything I know. It also helps to heal any cuts, scrapes and cracks in your hands and feet. Pure virgin coconut is my favorite oil for almost everything, including eating! : )

Hope this helps.

Gary

Baking soda, 1 cup added to epsom salt detox bath keeps my skin smooth. Detox bath IMO is too keep pores open and detoxing as long as possible.

I never put lotion on after detox bath, don't want to plug up my pores. The baking soda works great for me. No dry skin.
