hi, forgot to ask, if i pay out of pocket for testing to be done through igenex labs, is it most likely that i can get reimbursed for the testing? also if i wait for a prior authorization to go through for my insurance to cover the test, and go that route, will it take a long time usually to get the prior auth for specialty lab testing? thanks

Last year when I had Harvard Pilgrim I received 100% reimbursement from Igenex testing.
My LLMD was an HP provider but the lab (Igenex) was out of network.
When I called to ask (HP) about the reimbursement they told me it was NOT covered because it was out of network. I said I'd like to submit it anyway and sent my receipt to the claim address on the back of the card. In less than 1 month I was reimbursed on 2 occasions.
