Taking Clarithromycin, Hydrochloroquine and Mepron........was doing ok for 6 months, now suddenly cannot take them, get a gage reflex and when I do take them I vomit them up or have severe diarriah. I have not taken them for several days, and will speak to doctor on Monday. When is it appropriate for a person to go to the IV treatments? Would this work for me in getting the medicine in? Any bad side effects from IV treatments. Any good advice is appreciated?

How long have you been on this combo? Babesia herxes can be the roughest of all .. in my opinion.

Could be that your dosage is too high for you. Have you been taking mepron for very long?

IV can cause herxing also.. so I'm not sure it would help in that regard.. BUT.. It's certainly worth a try.

The only problem with IV is the risk of infection in the line, etc.

I hope others will see your post now that I will be bringing it to the top!

I have been taking Hepron since the beginning of January, 2 tsp a day. Cannot stand these meds,I think my body is in revolt. I vomit within one minute after taking the meds even with whole yogurt

Sounds like it is way too much for you... whether it's the combo or one of the meds.. don't know..

But it's too much of something!

Thanks, I am thinking of looking for a LL doc that will try a pic line. Cannot stand the med side effects anymore, the vomiting.
