My husband has been through many abx(now Flagyl for past 3months and IV rocephin 4 weeks). Ever since he started any abx at all he's been getting weaker. Also been using Dr. Zhang protocol for past 6 weeks.
Original dx was ALS but tested positive in July for lyme. No real herx just continueing weakness.
Anyone else react like this? I'm afraid he's going backward and we won't be able to get him forward.

This is kind of the story of my life. I was diagnosed almost a year ago and have only continued to go down hill.

I haven't been IV therapy though. I'm going to start that in about 3 weeks.

I think what my deal is is that I have been on WAY TOO LOW of doses. I think it had just made the bugs wake up and really fight hard, against something that isn't even strong enough to kill them.

I would say to keep going, it hasn't been that long.

*Best*

I took Azythromecin for 5 weeks together with artemis annua. It made my heart hurt. Like with the beats it hurt. So I stopped, I think it was my heart herxing from seven years of untreated Lyme...

I can't quite tell from your post whether he's been on abx for three or four months, but either way, this is definitely something you should discuss with his doc. Maybe something else is in the way of his recovery? Have co-infections and co-morbidities been addressed?

Sorry!!! Frustration sets in and I forget what I've done before.
To answer the other question though, he's been on abx since August. They get changed on a 2 month cycle to see what has an effect-if any.
