I read about people achieving a solid remission or hoping for a solid remission.
What is to be expected of a solid remission? I know everyone is different, their symptoms are different, their infection is different, how long they've been infected is different...
But, for anyone that has experienced a "solid remission", What is it like? How long does it typically last?
By the way, I'm hoping for a solid remission

There are some ppl on LN that have been well for several years and are living normal lives now. Actually there are probably a good many that just don't come on LN anymore, because they have moved on. I would call that a solid remission. I would actually call that a cure.

Pam Weintraub says 80% of disseminated people will reach permanent remission after proper treatment. 20% may need ongoing or periodic maintenance therapy

For the past year and a half, I've been better. I'm off Lyme treatment and living normally. I teach pilates 12 hours per week. I still have four kids at home, who I take care of. I'm very active.
I don't take anything for Lyme. I do, however, keep detoxifying because Lyme and treatment were both so toxic, not to mention our toxic environment. Every once in a while a detox method reaches a new area and causes a little minor fatigue, but nothing like when I had Lyme.
I still have to supplement iron and thyroid. But no killing herbs or abx.

First and foremost I want to achieve a remission.
If/When I achieve remission I fear that it's only a matter of time before my body is weakened and lyme will take over again. At some point as you get older it seems like your body won't be able to keep the infection under control.
I wonder if there are any people that live a full life expectancy that have/had lyme.
