My husband started taking the CORE capsules for KPU about 3 weeks ago. We are seeing a slight decline in his 3-year headache, which is wonderful. However, he lately feels angry and irritable. He is also noticing some acne on his face and back. Could this all be from increased heavy metal detox?

He is also taking zeolite twice weekly and taking cilantro and Biocolotox (contains some bentonite clay) twice daily.

Thanks for your input. If anyone has any other recommendations to add to his detox protocol, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

tickbattler

Sounds as though he is trying to eliminate toxins through his skin.

For heavy metal detox whilst I was on KPU treatment I took chlorella pyr.(15 tablets three times a day), microsilica and zeolite. I am now just on microsilica alternate days and have stopped KPU treatment- I did KPU treatment for 10 months.

tick battler, I don't think cilantro is the right detox treatment during KPU. Read Gigi's posts.

Tick sick family, why did you stop the KPU? Did it help you? Were you still having reactions after 10 months?

My LLMD stopped my KPU treatment. I am feeling much better now than when I first started it, so hopefully I am all remineralised now !I never noticed any huge reactions to KPU treatment, I just started to feel better and better, but I am also taking lots of others supplements and herbal treatments too.
I have also stoppped antibiotics now after nearly 2 years and am treating with just herbals. I am crossing my fingers that this will be the end of treatment for me before too long.

My two boys are still receiving KPU treatment but are teenagers and growing several inches a year so probably currently need all the minerals they can get.

Wow, your husband saw a decrease in his headache!?

I wonder if my daughter's headache that she has also had for close to 3 years would diminish too?

Is the KPU protocol simply a replenishing of zinc and minerals, thus balancing the body so it can then release the built up toxins, or is it to address a specific detox pathway?

Would one be able to do the core protocol on their own, or is a LLMD needed?

I have to research more on this..........

I would like more info on this too.

Our daughter tested positive for this and the ND does not seem very experienced in this treatment.

Def heavy metals coming out.

The acne is a key sign.

Has he chelated?

He needs a provoked test w/ DMSA for urine analysis followed by adequate chelation consisting of chelex 4 caps every 3rd night w/ 20 tabs Biopure chlorella and 10 drops NM algas. Be sure to replenish minerals lost during chelation. Also use ACZ nano periodically and 100mg DMSA can be subbed for the chelex.

Heavy metal toxicity is one if the most overlooked issues involving Lyme patients and IMO is one the biggest contributor to neuro symptoms such as severe unrelenting headaches, etc.

I completely agree with DJF about metals being important.

I completely disagree with the methodology DJF posted. It is very harmful and makes no sense when you understand metals. Read Andy Cutler's book "Amalgam Illness."

I know I'm going against the grain here, but imo chelating metals is overrated in Lyme treatment.
(The 2 posts directly above me are a great example why)

Best quote I ever heard regarding chelating while treating lyme was...

"If you come home and there's a bear in your living room - do you tidy up the place first, make a cup of coffee & then attend to the bear?!"

Treat the infection and I do believe the body will naturally remove disturbing metals from itself.

The Pros don't seem to outweigh the Cons from most people I've talked to who've spent lots of $$$ on chelation.

"Treat the infection and I do believe the body will naturally remove disturbing metals from itself."

That would be nice if it were so. Don't for a minute think this is going to get you well.

You absolutely need to treat both, and treat them with great planning and forethought.

There is no such thing as a one step "chelation." It does not exist. It always takes more than one agent to get the different metals out. It has to be timed well and the agents have to be selected for certain areas.
Don't use cilantro until you have cleared the bulk of the metals from the gut and get tested to make sure the time is right. I posted many times about that.

Using sauna too early is not wise. You can get a very fuzzy brain if you shift the metals into the brain and central nervous system if pushing increased circulation too early. And never do it with amalgams in the mouth.

Getting rid of metals does not need to be an expensive affair. Doing it smart is important.

Again don't push metals until you know you are not allergic to them. It does not work and you are wasting precious time and energy. The body suffers under metal toxicity and it does not get easier the longer it goes.

And if you are allergic to toxic metals and the body has forgotten how to regulate them, all bets are off until you start to clear the allergies/dysregulations. The only method I know to do a complete job is Allergie Immun. Shifting metals from one body compartment to the next is not going to get you well and is merely a temporary break only to haunt you again and again as you go through life. Infections live well in toxic terrain and the metals and chemicals have to go before peace can return.

Take care.

And don't forget that many of us have stored toxins, especially toxic metals and chemicals, along with various unresolved emotional conflicts that we are often not aware of ---- these are being released if metals are being treated and I would look at this as a positive.

Welcome the irritation, the dreams and occasional nightmares - all part of detoxing. If you have a doctor who is aware of that, he/she often addresses these conflict areas.

I lived through World War II with phosphorus bombs falling on our house ---- I became allergic to phosphorus and very deficient in it until the emotions were treated. Took all of five minutes under Dr. K. The body will not absorb well or release if allergic to the substance.

Healing has to happen on several levels. Read the "Five Levels of Healing" written many years ago by Dr. K.

You cannot clear a biochemical-consequence allergy if it is caused by an emotional experience. The emotion has to be treated - is easily done with ART.

Take care.

I've tried for years to ignore Gigi's posts here. Don't ignore her. You are just delaying the inevitable acceptance that everything she says is actually right :-) She is dead-on correct about what she says. The only area I don't know about is AI, because I haven't done it, but it wouldn't surprise me if she's right there, too.

Gigi, also, Dr. K in his 2 hour long video presentation of KPU at Lyme/Autism conference says that once the body gets the zinc, it CHOOSES to let loose the metals and use the zinc instead, so from this regard, it isn't being forced to do so, and ultimately the body wants to do this but couldn't before due to the syndrome making you pee out all your zinc. I'm not saying AI isn't worth doing, just that perhaps, KPU protocol is beneficial without AI. Dr. K in that video presents stories of dozens of successes with KPU protocol, and I think that was before he knew about AI.

I waited until a few rounds into AI before starting KPU. Yes, we need zinc and the body will want to release heavy metals when it is replaced with the essential minerals, but.....

Where do the heavy metals go if the body doesn't recognize them as toxic any longer? If the gut is full of them it will be overwhelmed.

The body is smart enough to try to stash them in the safest places it can find and create lots of fungus to protect us from them. Not a pretty picture.

Having done AI first, my body is releasing metals on it's own and has some direction as to where they should go instead of just recirculating. KPU treatment has been a breeze for me and I wonder if it would have been if I had not done AI first.

Dan67 is right - don't ignore Gigi's advice, she knows what she is talking about.

Zinc + cilantro + Zeolite == explosive bomb of heavy metals!!

Only zinc is hard for me to deal with, even if I don't take it often.

Adding cilantro would be crazy in my case, even though I'm doing different sorts of chelation for years.

Zeolite can also cause extreme reactions, and it did to me initially. Once you get used is fine, but first times were hard.

Add alpha lipoic ac or EDTA or any chemical chelator, I wonder how someone can survive this all.... In my opinion.

I would do one by one, and very careful. Getting anxious can send blood pressure up and cause all sorts of reactions. Like a bad herx.

Only AI put a lot of heavy metals in movement on its own for my daughter. We would only add Core when the AI effect went low profile...

Heavy metals are like lyme treatment: slow and steady wins the race!

My son's KPU testing kit is in the mail. I just finished up watching Klinghardt's spring lecture on youtube. I took 4 pages of info packed notes. He explained everything so well that I think I get the issue with KPU and Lyme disease.

Amazing what he is doing with autistic kids!

Where does one get the KPU testing kit? How much does it cost to test and what is tested, i.e., blood, urine, saliva?
