Hi
Im just wondering for those of you who have bart what were your first symptoms? What are the symptoms that made your LLMD suspect bart?

For me i have the worst foot pain lately and my shin bones are hurting really bad as well as anxiety so iam suspecting bart although my tests came back negative for it.

How long is bart treatment generally speaking?
What made your llmd suspect bart if you ha a negative>

help me try and figure this out!

Hi jackie for me severe sore feet was a sign. I also had recurring throat infections, massive headaches, very swollen lymphnodes.

I had surgery for what I thought was plantar fascitis and it did not help. I also had a tonsillectomy to help with the throat issues. I do have knots or bumps along my shins and on my elbows that also hurt.

I also have RAGE horrible rage. Lets just say there isn't a door in my house that hasn't been broken. I hate what this has done to me.

I used to be a calm, energetic person and now I have mood swings constantly, shake a lot, stomach pains, joint and muscle pain etc etc.

My doctor treats symptoms not a test result. She believes I have Bart and Babesia along with Lyme. Hope this helps

jackie- I was clinically diagnosed with bart. My first symptoms were brainfog, sever anger issues, migrating joint pain. Luckly I began treatment before all my tests were even complete. My doc want me to treat this for about six months, but I am sure that it varies with each case. I do know one thing, when you start feeling better, try not to switch off the bart. meds. until you are "symptom free" of bart. I made the mistake of feeling better after a couple of months of treatment for bart. and switched up my meds. and crashed rather hard. I had to "start" over again. Good luck!

Thanks both of you for your replies. See, i was wondering about co-infections because my neurological symptoms started right away...it wasn't a slow progression..it was normal me then BOOM dizziness, ringing ears, tingling etc..i had sore calves right away but no joint pain until now .

My feet hurt SO bad without me even walking on them and the shin bone pain is horrific these last 2 days.

to needhelp38 who is your llmd? can you pm me?

I had heavy neuro Bart symptoms once the lyme cleared a little, they became very pronounced. frontal headaches, bloodshot eyes, muscle twitches, raging, suicidal, panic stricken and CRAZY!
I had a lot of Bart stuff all along, but once I treated the Lyme a bit, it REALLY came on strong.

It seems to be a pretty common co infection

Cipro has really helped.

Bart did not show itself until I got lyme knocked down.Same with Babs. Very painful feet, anger, frontal headache, lymph very swollen and could barely walk. All got even more extreme with treatment. Doing A-Bart & Rife.
