i have these long funny looking wavy lines across my rear and thighs.

i showed them to my doctor once and he said "oh you've gained weight and those are stretch marks".

uh ok. my mom had them really really bad. all the way across her stomach, back, rear and all.

i don't believe they're stretch marks at all. i think they're bart or something.

have you ever been told they were stretch marks?

As I kid I always had the the streaks and everybody always told me that they were stretch marks. I always wondered why I had stretch marks but wasn't gaining weight.

It wasn't until I was on treatment for Lyme, and I started to loose weight but kept the streaks, that I realized that they weren't stretch marks!

Once I treated the Bart with Rifampin for a month, the marks disappeared!

Unfortunately I didn't treat for long enough and they are coming back but I will get to them!

Klighardt has noted that KPU can cause stretch marks that are often mistaken for Bart. My son has the stretch marks on his back and since starting the CORE KPU treatment they ahve begun to fade. His bloodtests were negative for Bart, but the stretch marks were used for a clinical diagnosis. Now I am not so sure it is Bart... Confused by all this.

Here's a picture of what I believe is a bart rash on my thigh/rear. Though it's a pink line, if you look closely, you can see a 'paw print' within it. My LLMD actually pointed this out to me.

I've been thin my entire life (100 lbs or less) and was even losing weight when this mark first appeared, so I don't believe in the overused stretch mark explanation.

Here's a link to some photos of Bart rashes. My son has one type, I have another. I'm certain his is congenital.
