My daughter is on zoloft, zithromax, mino and her second day of tindamax. She is having an incredibly difficult time eating anything at all. At times she feels very full and nauseous and the thought of any food makes her gag. She runs in and out of the bathroom all day. Also her entire body is itchy.

She said she can't explain what her stomach feels like...its kind of twisting around. She can't even drink water. She did manage to eat a little pasta so that she could take her pills, but that is it.

I'm driving her crazy trying to get her to eat anything and she just keeps saying she can't. Anyone else have symptoms like this...is it just a herx. I know the tindamax makes her herx, but never like this. Any thoughts??

My stomach did that when I had parasites. Also all the other symptoms you describe. I had a massive infestation of roundworms and a large tapeworm.

I used Humaworm (four rounds 90 days apart) and enula for roundworms for many months.

Sixgoofy - I think if I even mentioned parasites to her she would freak out. She gets grossed out so easily. We have a drs appt on Monday. I just worry that she might get dehydrated.

Could easily be candida/yeast also. (itchy and running to the bathroom, nausea)

Is she on high quality probiotics and following the anti-yeast diet? (guess not since she ate pasta)

Excellent probiotics:

VSL#3

Theralac

Whatever you take, take at least 100 CFU's per day. Wish someone had told me that 10 yrs ago!

Of course she isn't following the diet or taking the probiotics like she should. Why you ask because she is 19 and knows everything. She is driving me crazy.

If I keep nagging I think she might go crazy, but sometimes I can't help myself. I know this isn't easy for her, but if I could just get through to her how important taking the probiotics are, eating a healthy diet and also staying on schedule with taking her meds she is going to get better faster than the route she is taking.

Unfortunately I guess she will learn the hard way.

When I first started my zith, tindamax and artemisinin I went through loss of appetite and nausea. Whenever I felt hungry I would eat as much as I could. I ended up losing 6 #s within the first month-6 weeks or so. I ended up regaining my appetite though so there is hope.

Seaweed - she only weighs about 95 pounds so she really can't afford to lose any weight. I think it could be yeast or parasites like sixgoofy said. Her sleep patterns are totally off too. She went to bed around midnight and got up at 4am and has been up ever since. Thank goodness we go back to the dr on Monday...so much is changing.

That sounds like me on Zithromax! I said it felt like chainsaws in my stomache!!

From my personal experience, don't try to force food down her throat. If she is nauseated, then eating is likely only going to make it worse AND cause vomiting.

But definitely talk to your Dr. about it!
