Today, I measured 1/4tsp of sea salt and poured it into roughly 4oz. of filtered water. I did this because of the recommendation to relieve symptoms of NMH (neurally-mediated hypotension) per the information I got on the recent adrenal fatigue thread. Also listed in this source:
Within about 15-20 minutes, I noticed I looked pale, my skin became dry, and I was in a slight state of confusion. I noticed my feet were tingling a little bit, and looked down to see my skin surface was red from the socks I was wearing. A couple hours later I went to urinate, and my stream was slloooowwww.. I had a lot to pee, but it was flowing at half-capicity.
So, I'm a little bummed. I was hoping it would relieve those symptoms and actually make me feel better, instead it seems like the opposite happened.
Now, it's a question of why the reaction? Kidneys? Anti-Diuretic Hormone - I say this because this is the hormone that controls urine strength and all that, right?
