hey folks,

I wonder if there is a scientific study that shows a connection between Lyme (+co-infections) and dental problems.

I'm asking because I have serious problems with my teeth (caries) exactly since the breakout of the infection, even though my dental care hasn't weakened since that time.

My dentist denies a causal link between the infection and the dental trouble, but I am pretty shure that there has to be a connection.

I had almost all of my teeth worked on around the time I became infected. I didn't know at the time that I had the disease.

If I had known I probably would have handled things differently.

I think theres a connection, Because i didnt start having trouble with my teeth until this disease

any abx therapy will damage the normal flora of the mouth
this will allow superbugs to produce toxins that can cause periodontal disease and caries
trigeminal and Bell's palsy can cause other issues to the teeth and jaw.
not so show the spirocetes can actually cause or kill the bugs in the mouth and cause caries.
many meds used during lyme treatment can cause dry mouth, kill bacteria and change the whole environment of the mouth.
stress for lyme can cause tmj problems and temporal and frontal headaches.
just general info
