I have some re-emerging sx's and am trying to figure out which of my co-infections they are. I WAS down to a couple remaining sxs- few twitches, calf tightness. Than I increased doxy in December and am noticing old ones coming back.
I get extremely heavy eyes and tired in the afternoon occasionally. Sometimes a few times a week, sometimes a few times a month. Its like I get overcome with a wave of tiredness and have trouble opening my eyes after blinking. It usually only lasts for 15min to a half hour.
My other symptom is base of skull ache-like, warm throb. It can be on one or both sides of skull at bottom.
I have one more I am noticing that's odd. The top of my feet hurt sometimes. The area maybe an inch below the base of my toes. It's hard to explain but it only hurts when I take steps and my toes bend with the step.
I've come along way since this time last year thankfully and was treated for babs from February to July, than on to Bart. I am still treating for that and Lyme.
I am wondering if rifampin isn't doing it for me anymore or if maybe this is babs resurfacing.
My LLMD said the headaches are Lyme but if I remember right, these went away with babs treatment. Maybe my Lyme Abx needs changed?
Anybody have similar symptoms and with what coinfections?

For me that symptom of heavy eyes and falling asleep was a herx. Don't know which infection, but I just usually lay down and catch a nap. The body heals most with sleep. I wouldn't worry about it and enjoy a nap if you can.

Thanks Gael, I do try not worry but we know how that goes with this illness. I just am concerned I am not doing enough or the meds aren't working anymore.
Since I felt 99% better for 6 weeks or so this is starting to frustrate me and I'm trying not to lose hope.

I'm going out on a limb here as obviously I am no expert, but here are my best guesses...
few twitches, calf tightness - Bartonella
extremely heavy eyes and tired in the afternoon - Babesia
Sometimes a few times a week - Babesia cycle
sometimes a few times a month. - Bartonella cycle
It's like I get overcome with a wave of tiredness and have trouble opening my eyes after blinking. It usually only lasts for 15min to a half hour. - Babesia
My other symptom is base of skull ache-like, warm throb. It can be on one or both sides of skull at bottom. - Babesia
The top of my feet hurt sometimes - ?, feet = Bart but top of feet = ?
Excellent symptom list -http://www.truthaboutlymedisease.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=313

That's what I was thinking...babs coming back. I know- TOP of feet hurting is weird. Maybe it's nothing. Thanks -maybe I'll ask to retest babs since I did test positive.

Test, schmest! That's what I say!
(I tested negative three different times for everything, but after a tick, a bull's eye, and symptoms starting 3 days later, I KNOW what I have!)
I say start treating.
Consider salt/c protocol found at lymephotos.com - glm1111 (Gael) is a believer!!

Peyjad,
I'm 10 minutes from Chocolate World. Are you anywhere near me? (Just curious.)
