I did IV Rocephin for 8 weeks last year. I had nothing else combo'd with it. It did little to nothing. I'd actually like to try it again, for a longer period, with a cyst buster.

bugg, what kind of supps do you take for nerves and immune system?

Yes Bugg, what did you use to treat the nerves?

Lymeboy I am due to start Rocephin in Sept w/ Zithro and Flagyl (pulsing). I hope it will do something for me!

People have told me it is a really good drug. I definitely had an uptick in neuro symptoms when I took it, but it didn't correct anything. at the time I was not taking supps, or herbs or probiotics or anything! I think it may need to be combo'd with something.

yes, i got my brain back totally and completely after lyme and co-infections, and treatment with IV abx and many other things...

it can be done, absolutely. i was all neuro, and very bad off for some time.

this did not stop me from getting infected again, tho, so i'm back in it. for now.

take care and good luck,
mo

To answer your questions, I took sublingual B12 for my nerves. It took several months on it before it really, really, really helped the pain and stiffness in my body...It may take awhile before you see the difference...If you take it, you need to up your potassium...

Also, I take high doses of Vitamin D to modulate my immune system/inflammation...

I'm now on Rocephin... about 6 weeks in. and I'm hoping it does something for the neuro issues, which have been plauging since i've had lyme.

If bartonella is to blame for your mental state, then you will probably have a lot of irritation with outbursts of rage. If one drug does not work, try another.

If it is babesia, then you will feel more apathetic/depressed. You will have a whoozie feeling like you have been drugged. It is hard to think.

I have gotten most of my brain function back since treating babesia. In January I could not measure and calculate how to install a wood floor. My son was doing it and I usually help with the "engineering" aspects of construction. It was rather simple but I got lost, forgetting where I was, what I was doing etc.

By May I was helping re-construct a victorian porch for my daughter. I could remember where things were going and figure out what needed to be adjusted. It turned out beautifully. My son has a degree and math is one of his favorite subjects but I was keeping up with him.

Now I am "constructing" my life again. When I am really sick I have no plans, no motivation, no purpose, no direction. I am currently training one of my horses.

So what I am telling you is that you have to hit the right infections. Taking all the supplements in the world will not make a difference until you do.
