i finished the six days of diflucan 100. about 3-4 days after i stopped the following started:
severe icepick headache at temple excruciating tmj pain in jaw throbbing eyes shoulder and neck stiff (i try to relax and then 10 minutes later realize i'm hard as a rock) every large joint is killing me (wrists, knees, hips, shoulders) muscle twitching in arms and legs lower back pain and spine pain
inable to think coherently. as soon as i close my eyes i get nightmares. feet burning hot sensitivity to sound and light extremely jittery
i feel like total ___t.
i never take pain pills but this morning at 2 am i took vicodin and it has helped a little.
mike thought it could be the wind blowing stuff in, but i don't think so.
also bp is now low 103 over 95 with a heart rate of 86.
did i mention severely short of breath. also those big night jerks are back. i jerked so hard last night i thought i was going to break a bone.
i even have vaginal pain.
what in the world is going on? if this is a herx, i'll be glad it's over cause man this really is bad.

Hmmmm.
Can you get a refill for the diflucan?
I took it for Lyme and yeast.
I took 200mg a day for 60 days followed by 10 days off, then repeated the cycle.
I did this for over 18 months.
How did you feel on the diflucan?
What else are you taking now?
Sounds like a co-infection though.
Keep me posted.
Prayers coming your way for relief.
Hugs,
Geneal

i was not taking anything else before i did the diflucan except for probiotics.
hadn;t been on any abx since january when i had flagyl for two weeks for diverticulitis.
i have about a year's worth of biaxin and i'm thinking of going back on it.
i have vsl#3, theralac, florastor, and critical care so i'm ok there.
but many i really feel like poop....
at first the diflucan put me in the bed the pain was so bad, then after third day i didn't notice anything at all.
this all started about 3-4 days after stopping the diflucan.
i was so sick last night i thought "oh heavens, not another er visit" but i absolutely don't have any money for that. last visit was over 6 grand. luckily my copayment was not that much but i still can't even afford the co-payment right now.
and like somebody said "unless you're within a half of hour of dying stay out of the er" and that's what i'm doing.

Not a Herxheimer! Timing not sensible. Also, flucanazole only weakens the BB, making them more susceptible. Sure your not on something else now (or were) that could be causing it? And remember... just because you're fighting Lyme doesn't mean you can't get a virus going around. ;-) I remember thinking I was reacting to a drug at 1 point (that I prev. tolerated fine) but when I went over it with my PCP, he said it was likely a bug going around locally at the time.
In any event, Sorry you're going thru this. Hope things improve soon!

Doesn't sound like it has anything to do with the Diflucan .. unless it's due to being OFF the med?? Don't think so, however.
Maybe someone else will have a better idea for you.
Hang in there!

hmmm, well the only thing that has happened is that i cut my foot severely.
haven't had a tetanus shot in years.
omg, hope it's not tetanus or lockjaw.
the only drugs i'm on are nadolol, diovan, premarin, and elavil.
now one night i tried the zocor at 10 mg that the doc gave me. could have been that but i only took one pill. surely that wouldn't set off something would it?
anybody know anything about these two?

I am getting those night jolts really bad along with leg cramps and have been getting them all along. day 3 of doxy everything seems to be amplified. Headache, muscle ache, joints, shaking, tremors nausea, light sensitivity....and now balance issues. I just want to crawl in bed and wake up 3 months from now feeling alittle better.

If you have not had a tetanus show in 10 years and cut yourself on something dangerous, you REALLY need to get looked at. It's nothing to joke with.

I just saw my LLMD, and she said yeast die-off can cause a "big" herx. She said many symptom of yeast mimic lyme.
Your low blood pressure is also indicative of a herx. The one time I had the herx from he**, my bp was 105/62, and it was definitely a herx. Any chance you may have a rash with little red bumps. That's also an indication of a herx.
