How effective is this really for cyst form of Lyme? Want to add in a cyst buster but am not ready for Flagyl or Tindamax.

My LLMD has prescribed grapefruit seed extract to take with my antibiotic, for a double punch. The grapefruit seed extract either kills the cyst form, or forces it to emerge in it's spirokete form, which the antibiotic kills. I am getting better on this regimen, with ups and downs, of course.

I am taking Pure Encapsulations GSE. The literature on this product says clearly that it does not contain any benzethonium chloride.

Some studies have suggested that the antimicrobial benefits of GSE are mainly due to this chemical which is not a naturally occuring thing in GSE i.e. it gets added to it.

It will be interesting to see if I have any herxing etc from my "pure" GSE.

Hi bcb,
Did you have any yeast-related symptoms? My doctor has me on Diflucan and GSE even though I am exhibiting zero symptoms related to yeast.

Could muscle weakness and pain the legs be a symptom of systemic yeast?

I don't think so..but is your dr periodically checking your liver enzymes? Diflucan can cause liver problems.. but it is pretty rare.

here's a yeast symptoms list:

If you have babesia, it should help that too. It knocked 2 strains of babs out for my family of 5.

Seriously tick battler?! How do you know it was the GSE that did it? I'm really excited to hear that! I hope my stomach can handle it. Every time I've tried my stomach didn't like it.

My llmd has me on it for cyst busting and yeast prevention. I mix it in with orange juice in a dixiecup and take it like a shot. Then chase it with a little more oj. And a small snack. Otherwise it is unbearable to me.

Lymetoo,
My liver enzymes are within the normal range (I was last checked about 2-3 weeks ago). I haven't started Diflucan yet but will be in the next couple of days.

As with everything else, there seems to be two schools of thought with Candida as well - one that says symptoms are very specific (vaginal infection, oral thrush etc) and one that says there's "systemic candida" which can cause all sorts of symptoms from muscle pain, weakness fatigue etc.

Lymetoo,
Can you have babesia if you are asymptomatic? I don't have anything like lymph node enlargement, night sweats, anxiety, fever etc.
