Someone told me that foot pain in the am was bart, during the day was babs. They pm'd me-but I lost the PM.

Anyone have any input? And where did you hear it? I want to tell my LLMD, who thinks all foot pain is bart

Foot pain as in plantar fasciitis is a symptom of bart. Upon waking up, the calf is stiff and the bottom of the foot hurts. After 20 minutes or so, this pain goes away. If it's a running injury, this pain is also in the morning, but will be painful all day. This has been my experience, because I've suffered from both causes.

Foot pain that is not bart or running related--I have felt that this was more lyme or babs. If you don't have other babs symptoms, then just foot pain would not point to babs. Could be lyme or ehrlichia if it's tick related. Otherwise, it could be a foot problem and you would need to see a podiatrist. IMHO.

I feel throbbing, or shooting pain in my foot intermittently during the day. I'm treating for babs now.

I wondered if it was babs related. I think I may have knocked down/gotten rid of bart. My thigh muscles also feel so weak and weird

I got this foot pain - lasts all day in both feet after rifing for Babs. I don't have any other classic sypmtoms for Babs but sure do herx when I rife for it.

I thought the foot pain was my Bart but it does make more sense that it's Babs because I get it bad with my Babs herxes.

Hi,
I started having foot pain yesterday out of the blue in my right foot. It is in the ball of the foot right under the big toe.

It hurts when I put pressure on it but is better if I am off my feet.

Could this be bart-related? Is bart pain normally in the ball of the foot? The replies here seem to suggest bart foot pain will be in the heel of the foot (i.e. like plantar fasciitis)?

Thanks in advance!

I get it all day long with my Babs herxes.

I think it's Babs. There was another post (somewhere here) that confirmed all day foot pain was Babs, but not sure if it's been confirmed medically.

My Lyme doc gave me B6 when I told him about it - for neurapathy. He seemed to think it was reasonably a Babs symptom.

My foot pain is almost alwayd constant, worse when my feet are cold. I'm about to start babs treatment, so we'll see if it does anything. My doc seems to think it's Lyme related.

My doc thinks foot pain is bartonella. Never heard him mention it as related to babesia before.

I have aching feet (bottom, by heel), and the sore/tight calf thing too in the morning. But I also had positive antibody tests to both bart and babesia, so that confuses matters a little as to what is causing what symptom.

Let me start this by saying I am undiagnosed as yet but...last year I was told I had plantars fascitis and was given injections in my foot. Didn't help. The only thing that did was some physical therapy involving getting my calf muscles to relax. whatever I have seems to cause my muscles to overly tighten. after a few weeks I could walk normal. Now when my feet "tingle" I do some calf stretches. Hopefully this may help.

Hi All: For me it is bart... and I have all day pain. It has only begun to resolve with rifampin/azith, plaquenil and Bolouke. My bart rashes are even going away. I do have tingling with mine as well. Just wanted to add this experience as I think it is hard to say which is which for each person... oh the mystery of these bugs!
