Just ran out of the brand of chlorella that I normally use. However, I don't want to reorder more of that brand since it is manufactured in Japan.
With the radiation problems going on over there I do not want to order my usual brand of chlorella.
So does anyone know of a good brand of chlorella that will be a safe brand to get right now?

I use KingChlorella by Allergy Research Group (iherbs.com), but I cannot seem to find out where it is manufactured. Good question.

iherb.com states "February 2010 - Please Note: We have been informed by the manufacturer of this product that it will be out of stock for at least 12-14 more weeks. We apologize for the delay."
But I am not sure where it is from either.
Though one of the reviews states that the person is from Hong Kong and she got it in 4 days from the states! (By Anita Tham From Hong Kong "in just 4 days from US to Hong Kong")

I tried to get my usual brand the other day from the vitamin shoppe and it was already back ordered for 2 months.
Maybe someone else has it. Unfortunately I won't be able to stock up because I barely have the money to get one bottle right now which stinks.
At least that will get me through a month and then I can try to find another brand after that.
I will try to contact some of these companies to see where they are manufactured.

Biopure is grown under a controlled environment. I've been taking them and have had good results with them so far. Just started a week to ten days ago. You can get them cheaper here:
They don't have everything Biopure has but the Biopure Chlorella pills I purchased from nature pure nutrition saved me ten dollars over Biopure's price. I found this out from a thread thejoje started last week.

I have used chlorella from Morin Labs...their tele # is 877-856-
4860...to find out where it is harvested...doesn't say on the bottle
also comes in powder ( cheaper ) to make your own capsules...
probably not the cheapest brand but a good one...

Yeah, I encourage you to find out where it's grown and harvested. Also, ask the manufacturer to provide you with a fact sheet listing any metals that might be in the product or the percentage of metals or other pollutants.
I bought Planetary Herbs which is supposed to be a good brand and send them an email asking for a fact sheet on their chlorella. They never responded so I sent a second email. Still no response from them. No business from me.
Thanks for that link Gary! I actually use the biopure garlic and I see that it is $10 cheaper at the site you posted. So that is helpful.
I plan to call or e-mail some of these brands to see where they manufacture their chlorella.
Good point to also check and see what other metals might be in the product. I have worried about that before with some brands since I have heard they can contain pollutants etc.
