Over the last couple of weeks I've been doing eye and neck exercises, and the pressure, head pains and tinnitus have reduced.
I stumbled across "Somatosensory Tinnitus" whilst searching my symptoms, and found this slideshow which shows the effectiveness of certain exercises for those with this condition. It seems that the general idea is to do movements that increase the tinnitus.
My basic regime is as follows (20 times each & twice a day):
- looking all the way up and down, left and right - turning my head fully left and right - jutting my lower jaw out fully - moving lower jaw fully left and right - "scrunching up" my scalp by raising my eyebrows and holding position for a few seconds - rolling my head on my shoulders
There has been a definate improvement in my symptoms since starting the exercises, but there is the possibility it could be coincidence of course - either the antibiotics doing their job, or a natural trough in BB cycle.

I think the key is detox... but how do you detox ammonia from the brain that's the question...I think it's excess ammonia that creates the pressure...

Detox is the key and it starts with the colon, liver, kidneys, skin... And you have pathogens so you have detox faster then the organisms can poison you. And you can't go to fast, you'll over run your organs. Hard core cleanse with lots of binders.
Does it go away? -- it does -- any other kind of treatment like relieving pressure is for relieve. The creaking neck goes away too!
If it were me starting, I'd focus on a good parasite cleanse, dietary changes (lots of fiber), and a colon cleanse. Coffee enemas are a great detoxifier. I like bentonite clay as an excellent binder and psyllium husks -- look up P&B shakes. There are lots of other binders apple pectin, activated charcoal, chitosan, diamataceous earth (food grade).
For coffee enemas look up Max Gerson therapy and the success of this program.
Good luck...

Also, do you have gas? If so you may be dealing with IBS, and gas creating distension of the colon and releasing neurotransmitters... If too many neurotransmitters are releaqsed it creates pressure and anxiety attacks...

Thankyou all and God bless you for replying !!The tinnitus was one of my first symptoms before I knew I had the Lyme, I am taking lots of chlorella and epsom salt baths. I am on Parastroy as well.
The pulsating tinnitus gets louder some days, softer other days. It has never completely gone away since Aug 2010. I do not think it is the meds causing it. I started teatment in Sept 2010.
And I don't have gas or anxiety either. I am going to get IV glutathione. A friend of mine does vitamin therapy. Any more suggestions?

A possible good test to see if it is related to your colon gas or no gas, is to have a colon hydrotherapy. Ask the person about herbs that can be included and tell them you suspect parasites. The herbs could help with killing anything that might be inside of you.
It isn't overly expensive and at the same time it is a diagnostic. It will either tell you if your colon is involved and the people there might spot a parasite. If your tinnitus improves briefly, then your problem is really in your tailbone and colon. It might confirm your suspicions about parasites.
The cost might range from 60 to 100 dollars for a single session.
Personally I've never had it done. And there is no need for me to it now. I had what I considered pretty bad tinnitus in my left ear. I hardly have it now and it can get better.

I have same thing since before treatment but since he added the zithro I am dying with tinnitus and feel like my head is giong to explode.
I was warned since I have inner ear problems about abx by my vestibular therapy doctor. I need to change the zithro it seems. Today was the worst of all days. Many abx casue it and you need to change them asap so it isnt permanent. You had it before therapy from lyme or inner ear issues like I have...dont let it get worse

There is at least one studt that links tinnitus with diets high in simple carbs, so a low carb diet might be of significant help. I can try to dig out the study if you like.
There is also this from Gordon research. It is likely some of the products being recommended have an economic attachment with Dr Gordon. However he has a great record for engineering products including zeolite

Fflutterby, I have had this for 12 years. It is with me 24/7 and at night it is worse. I too have vertigo from time to time. This was one of my first symptoms..Have been treated for sinus infections so many times because of these symptoms. Then in Oct. I was dx with lyme.
For me I think the lyme has something to do with my sinuses and then the ears.. Its so aggravating. I think its just part of lyme. Also this ear thing causes my anxiety to be worse.
Have tried a lot of things nothing has helped but antihistamines makes it so MUCH worse..
My doctor did say it could be caused my inflammation which is a big part of lyme. So have started treatment with herbs for this and a low does of abx.. If it works will let you know..

phyl6648 I hope this will clear up for all of us. Have you tried a nasal rinse. It does seem to help with some of my sinus pressure!

Try adding a high dose B-complex, if you aren't already taking one (the Bs are water soluble, so the body will only use what it needs)..........most recent visit to an ENT regarding my child's tinnitus resulted in that suggestion. So far seems to be helping a bit.....
You might also try eliminating dairy (and gluten)--though I've noticed the most benefit from just the removal of dairy (though not in regard to tinnitus but more for stopping the "itchy" feeling deep inside the ear).....
I hope you find relief soon!

Ohh How old is your child? I hope he/she gets rid if this horrid disease quickly. I had that darn itching feeling too, like something was trying to crawl out of my temples. I already take a B50, maybe I should try two?

On a lighter note - can you imagine how ridiculously funny this would look if someone were to do these exercises in an office or while standing in line at the post office? Do some of these in front of a mirror.. hysterical. I love it.
Im sorry i can offer no advice other than mine went away with treatment, yet always returns with a med switch (herx) i assume.

Shahbah - my headaches were like clockwork. They started EVERYDAY around 5pm. and they peaked around 8pm.. they never let up unless i went to bed. Then i felt hungover the next morning. They made my head feel 'sick' i used to say. It hurt so bad, mostly in the back of my head. i couldnt move my head or get up or have lights or sounds.. it was terrible. Made me a bit queezy sometimes. I had percocets from when i had my wisdom teeth removed (im a youngin) and they didnt even TOUCH it. It was scary.. . and honestly.. after about 2 days of Doxy they stopped. I was lucky to catch Lyme very early.. and i reacted strongly to doxy. No herx, just improvement. It wasnt until Bactrim was added that i herxed like crazy and all my glands in my neck swell up.. so i think it hit bart. who knows.
I hope you find relief!
Flutterby - im glad you enjoyed that!
