I'm praying not to end up in the hospital this weekend (or next week) for back surgery. Tripped over my foot last night. Turns out I could not lift the front up. Not good. So, on oral steroids (not too great either considering lyme). Had steroids injected into my back in the epidural space today. Not a lot of fun, but also not that horrible either. Just as moms get their relief from labor pain, I also hope to get relief. Fortunately, I am not in as much pain as I could be considering how horrible the MRI of my low back looks. Something to be thankful for. Hopefully if I do need surgery they can relieve some of the pressure on the spinal cord and the nerve roots coming off it in the other places -- where I get pain standing or constant feeling like somebody is poking me with steel needles! Still, I listen to others and I feel lucky. A simple surgery seems not much to go through compared to others' constant pain and other problems! Posts: 7 | From Rockville, MD | Registered: Mar 2011
