they both said i didnt have lyme. i showed them all my lyme tests taken over the years. the second one did agee to treat me tho, but after 5 months of injections, he never changed them. and my stomack was really bad by then, so i just stopped them on my own. i got both of these doctors from this site. now im a little gun shy about trying a third one. i mean how do you tell? but the second one does have a mention "not very good" now, which he didnt have before. so that part is good. i went to dr. R and dr. S from new jersey. many thanks for any info. joanie

You said on the other board that you did have some improvement on those antibiotic injections, right?
Did that one LLMD make a determination that you didn't have lyme based just on test results? Did he do a thorough history and physical and order new labs?
Did you have testing and eval done for Babesia, Bartonella, Ehrlichia, RMSP, etc?

Find a doctor who has cured people.. ask around. Don't just go with any name off our lists here. Not all of them are good... sorry to say!!!
You need to find at least 3 HAPPY SATISFIED PATIENTS of these doctors... preferably patients who are well, almost well, or making great progress.

hi lymetoo, and dekrator. here are my blood test results that you requested. ebv ab/capsid, igg - 6.15, way over ref. range. and saying positive. also mycoplasma igg EIA - 2.15 also showing positive. but the report says "could indicate current or past infection" at this time i also had mri of the brain. it showed "tiny non specific white matter" but the llmd dismissed all this with "its not lyme" and so i didnt go back to him. the other llmd that i saw 3 yrs before the above. was the one that treated me , even tho the results were equivocal. he treated me with 5 mos of bicillin injections weekly. i stopped on my own because i started having terrible stomach problems. my results from this doctor from igenex were: igg western blot 39, 41, 58 equivocal. my lyme igm western blot bands were 39, 58, 66 and 93 also equivocal. one of my primary docs , years ago ,always said she thought i had lyme, but those days , you needed 5 bands before a doc would treat you. and at that time i only had 37 and 41. over the years, i have also been treated with 2 months of tetracycline. but also stopped that on my own after i got a terrible bronchial infection which flared up my asthma. both times with the tetracycline and the bicillin injections i did feel a difference. i hope i am making sense as i am sooooo tired but wanted to answer your questions as you were so prompt with me. thank you so much. joanie

Every GOOD LLMD I know of would treat with those results. (igenex were: igg western blot 39, 41, 58 equivocal. my lyme igm western blot bands were 39, 58, 66 and 93 also equivocal)
I'll bet that if you took that test again it would be clearly positive.

Joanie,
When you are looking over your list for a LLMD, and trying to decide where to go....
you can create a post that says something like "Need your experiences and opinions of Dr M in NJ please" if you want....that's just an example.
You should post something like that on the "Seeking a Doctor board". Hopefully everyone is checking that board to see if they can help people in their state.
