I posted a few minutes ago that I have recently gone off abx and about being itchy at times. This does seem to coincide more with intake of simple carbs, which I have now cut completely out.
But I also get this wierd facial itching which does not typically last very long. I have had it on and off during Lyme treatment. It may coincide with other itchiness. It happens at night time, right before I go to sleep and only lasts for a few minutes. The itching is concentrated at the edge of my nostrils and on other areas of the front of my face.
After a few minutes it abates.
Any ideas?

I'd suspect either yeast growing on the skin (a good facial cleanser and moisturizing lotion may help), dry skin (moisturizing lotion), or Lyme messing with the nerves that go to those areas that are itching. What does your doctor say about this?
