I understand your anxiety about it. I had it at first too.

I have now been on it for about 8 months.

No issues with it so far.

Doc said eye issues although happen are rare. I had my eyes checked 2 times while on it and they were fine.

Good luck!

I've been on plaquenil for supposed lupus for 10 years. No problems, my eyes are fine and I get them checked every 6 months. I did have a rash from the generic brand so switched to name brand and have been fine. Of course I pay more for the copay.
I think most replies have been positive. It is a helpful med.

I'm on Plaquenil too. No side effects either. Feeling better from being on it actually.

I have blurred vision when I get low on B12. Have your B12 level ck'd for the blurred vision if you haven't already.

Eye problems with plaquenil are rare from what I've heard.

I have been on Plaquenil for 10 months.

Did not have any herx reaction on it so I thought that it was not working for me. Then I stopped it for few months and my joints flared up big time. I went back on Plaquenil and since then joints are fine again.

No side effects.

For past 10 days I feel the same way about Flagyl, I fill prescription but still looking at the bottle afraid to start. Today maybe.

Good luck

i posted a question 2 days ago and don't want to hijack your thread, BUT anybody experience what they would define as a burning sensation of the eyes????????????????? Could be from a myriad of other things, dunno?

Good luck with your treatment tricia386!!
