I'd say yes too. At least what conventional doctor's would call Carpel Tunnel.
If they do the surgery, nothing will change!
Treat the infection, the carpel tunnel symptoms will most likely resolve on their own.

I've been having problems with my hands since may 2010 which is what led them to test me a second time for lyme (first time in 2009) even though lyme positive they said not lyme go to rheumotology, which i did everything negative, then to hand doc. he did mri and xray nothing wrong. recently went to another for second opinion because my primary ordered emg that was borderline carpel tunnel well he said even though borderline carpel tunnel on emg the physical exam indicated no carpel tunnel at all. So now he order a three phase bone scan because i told him i am seeing a lyme doc this fri but every other doc i've seen, two rheumotologist and two infectious disease are not able to give me any answers. the hand doc said the bone scan will show hot spots either of infection or inflammation but won't say where its coming from but at least we can go fm there. I am at my wits end. finished my round of steriods and now head and neck pain is back, my hands and wrists are very inflamed and i can't get out of bed in the morning yet everyone is telling me everything is negative and they won't retest me for the Lyme, last one done July 2010. I can't wait to get to the LLMD on Fri because i am losing my mind over this stuff. It is seriously affecting my job.

Carpal tunnel was one of my first lyme symptoms...and cubital tunnel! Mine has gotten better with lyme treatment.

I had carpal tunnel surgery about 15 yrs ago (before Lyme) brought on by typing and Graves (thyroid) disease. That helped for a while.
My hands started sleeping/tingling and hurting again with Lyme. They are worse at night.
I've found wearing a brace on each hand brings great relief! Thankfully I'd saved one brace and bought another from Walmart.
I do find when I'm herxing a couple fingers still go numb in the night even with the braces. But there's hope this will diminish as we're healed.
I've found a little Aspercreme rubbed on my neck helps. Be careful with steroids...
I'm sorry you're hurting and pray you find relief.

I know that I went from, "there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with your wrist" in September, to a negative nerve test in October, to thoracic outlet in November, to carpal tunnel in January.
I am doing nothing about the symptoms until Lyme and Co are cleared. But I echo DKat, braces do help.
When I am having symptom flares, it is much worse, and I get twitches in the fingers/thumb of that hand.
When the symptoms are somewhat under control, the wrist is just a little stiff.
