Not all ALS is lyme disease, but some of it is. And it can be a difficult form to treat.
The article says he is under the care of some non-lyme doc. Well, there isn't any treatment for non-Lyme ALS.
It would be interesting to know if he has any other symptoms, like joint problems, that might help with deciding the cause.

There is an email contact for the person who wrote the article at the bottom. Maybe he can be asked to contact Celucci. We would have to be careful though to make sure he goes to an ILADS LLMD. Hopefully he would agree that a trial run of abx could not hurt!

I also know of a dentist who recovered from ALS after getting his amalgams taken out. There are many contributors to the same disease(s).
I would recommend reading about biological dentistry and ALS or MS in the giant reference manual, "Alternative Medicine: The Definitive Guide". The chapters above are excellent! Could be at the library or some healthfood stores as reference book. I also saw it on Amazon's site and was surprised that it is under $30 (in paperback) because it is 1200 pages +! Incredible. Very well worth it if someone wants to buy it, you can look up ailments and treatment plans for them, also info about acupuncture, homeopathy, nutrition, herbs, toxic-free dentistry, acupressure points in the teeth, more....
