I saw my endo dr today who ran some labs on me a few wks ago...
my TSH was 2.3 this Jan and now it is 4.2...a huge jump...
My prolactin is very high in the mornings and fine in the afternoon... He said he thinks i have a low thyroid and the porloactin could be related to that...
i know Dr. S says that anyone with a TSH over 2.0 should be considered for hypothyroidism....
i knew that was why i gained 20 lbs....hopefully it will come off once the meds start working..
Has anyone else had a similar issue ....could you please tell me your story and what were your numbers?
thanks
Diana

I've had a lot of weight gain over the last couple years, and I attributed it to the abx I was on, but I also got a test result back that surprised me - my TSH normally runs around 1.5 or so, but last December, it was almost 2.6... So after seeing the "high" TSH (high for me, that is), I have to suspect my thyroid has something to do with my relatively recent weight gain...
