I just started this week, had the second one today. I was really nervous too. It was not as bad as I thought. It did not burn, but felt like a really bad charlie horse for a day or so. 24 hours later, I got a migraine that lasted a few hours. I have not yet herxed from it.
I have heard good things about people getting good results from taking it. I hope I can say the same. Good luck, and let us know how it goes for you. Sorry I could not help more.

Be patient. It often works well but rarely fast. Give it six months at three a week.

I have taken it for several months, twice a week (I wanted more, but my Dr doesnt want to go more than twice a week).
I didn't see a whole lot of change really. I have other things I need to work on-- heavy metals, too. So maybe once I get those out of the way I might feel better.
I didn;t have any bad side effects. The first few shots hurt, but after that you get used to it. I was still able to go to Yoga the night I got the shot with no pain. Other than that, nut much to report!

I self administered for 4 months. Paired w/ Plaquenil and Zith, I herxed so wildly that I wound up in the hospital one night. The shots themslves weren't so bad. there was occasional soreness. No big deal. What helped me the most when herxing was lemons and tea (green tea and Chamomile).
You should be fine. Especially if the doc is administering. Just watch out for the herxes they can be severe.

Did them at 2.4 mu 3x a week for 14 months. Really helped neuro stuff. I started them again at 1.2,mu 3x a week about 8 weeks ago because i am pregnant. I take it with zith.
They take a long time before you notice any improvemen t, months, like 6-8. You definitely need to be patient on these.
I get very tired, and increase in body pain on them.
There is a numbing cream that you can apply 1-1.5 hours bwfore the injection so you dont feel the needle. It does nothing for the inside, but i find it much easier to tolerate with the cream. Its called emla cream you need a rx from your doc. Its pretty benign stuff.
If your bun gets sore, i find soaking in a nice warm bath after the injection helps. I have found that your bum just gets used to it after awhile.
One other tip is to take the syringe out of the fridge an hour before you inject. It takes the chill off and it seems to thon it out just a bit, making it easier to inject.
Good luck

I've been on them 1.2 MU three times a week since 2003. This is probably a record. It's been very effective.
