Can you reproduce the pain? By pressing on that area? If so, you may have Costochondritis...inflammation of the cartilage.

See if it gets better if you take a couple of acidophilus.
That's what I do. Had this for years. It's like having a 3 sided knife in your torso all the time... sometimes it gets twisted.

Pain has faded now so I barely notice is. Pain changed not at all when I applied pressure philly but it did seem to not hurt as much when I pressed fairly hard. There was no beat to the pain, just nice and steady if nice could be applied to pain. Momlyme, I haven't the foggiest what acidophilus is though I feel you about the three sided knife...ugh. Still, I am glad to know I am not going bonkers. The people on this site help simply by showing me that these symptoms are not just in my head and there is hope of getting back to normal. Or at least a damn site closer than present....

Jon, acidophilus is a probiotic like you would get in yogurt. You can buy them in pill form so that you get a more concentrated dose.
If you are on any kind of abx, you NEED probiotics! It's that important. You don't want to wreck your gut.

Ah...not on abx at this point. Will definitly use yogurt or what not when I do get on them. Follow up with PCP on Monday, hope to help her understand where I'm coming from about lyme. It is the only thing that matches most if not all my symptoms. Not going to hold my breath but gonna try just the same...to change her mind that is lol...
